In this body of work, I use myself as my muse, playing around the subject of pregnancy, and the antecedent feeling of inhibition. Taking into account the social commentary around me, this work reflects an inner conflict; that womanhood, for me, does not come effortlessly, it is something I need to study, learn and imitate. Finding myself stuck in monotonous roles deemed normal, next to all the women who glow with this kind of femininity, I feel like an impostor, a poor imitation of my gender.
